Friday fashion fix: the birthday edition

So today is my birthday. It has been a really good day.

It started yesterday, when I received a card from my sneaky mother with a check in it to use toward obtaining the one and only thing that I could think of to want for my birthday. A silver chain

to put a pendant from Sunshine on.

We actually found the chain today, after I woke up to my sweet little Mollie

giving me sweet little puppy kisses.

had already made coffee. Isn't he the greatest?

So I got dressed.

Shirt: Lauren by Ralph Lauren. Trousers: Giorgio Armani. Shoes: Bruno Magli. Sunglasses: Ray Ban. Belt: Papaya.

He took me to lunch, which wasn't fancy but was what I chose. Hey, I was craving a milkshake and some crispy fried potatoes.

Then we went on the mission to find the chain, which wound up not costing much at all, which left him asking me what was he supposed to give me for my birthday?

He also told me that I was pretty wrong for not letting all my homies, friends, and fellow slores over at The Band know that it was my birthday today, so I tweeted it to them. That set off a flurry of data use in multiple states and territories as they all weighed in on teh twitterz and in our group emails to fling glitter and scream delightful obscenities like "shoes" and "happy motherfucking birthday".

The icing on the cake? Well, that would be the cake that my neighbor and friend Nan is making for me tomorrow. She thought my birthday was the fourth, or it would have been baked today.

What kind of cake, you ask?

The bestest kind of cake in the whole widest world.

Red Velvet Cake.

I win at life.
