Clearing out the hoard

The neighbors (Nan & Pap) are taking up permanent residence in their RV. I think it is a fitting way to retire. All of their stuffz will be up for grabs this spring, when we will be hosting an estate sale. As I have cleaned out my closet, I have contributed things to the pile of stuff to be sold.

This morning, I decided to clean under the bed.

I found coat hangers.

I hoard coat hangers.

I have bags of them in storage. I had piles of them under the bed.

I suppose it's time to let go of some insanity in my life. It's time to let go of this compulsion to hoard coat hangers.

Why do I hoard coat hangers? I do not know. I have carted off hundreds of them in the past two years, and yet I still have dozens and dozens stashed.

The coat hangers are just a symptom, y'all. So is the shopping. However, today I am choosing to remain in conscious denial. There is nothing wrong with me. So what if I hoard coat hangers? Have y'all ever noticed how many coat hangers a man can break whilst yanking clothes out of the closet?

Yet there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

I'm going to go get rid of some coat hangers so I can make room for more tissue. Because my tissue comforts me.

  1. I don't have a problem with hangers. As long as they're the good kind and not the ones you get from the store when you buy stuff. I really hate those things.

  3. I buy tissue in bulk. I have for years. I find it really helps with other issues. But maybe that's just me. =)
