I've talked about my efforts to minimize the amounts of stuffs and things in my house. I've gotten rid of a lot of stuffs over the last month or two. A. lot. of. stuffs.
As I have minimized, I have tried to remain aware of the consequences of my actions. I have kept things like sustainability, pollution, the planet, and the people in it.
I have avoided the landfill whenever possible. I have taken shit to the consignment shop, I have taken shit to the Goodwill, I have passed things on to others who can (and will) use them. People like my dear friend Tia.
So, the next post on this blob will be a guest post by Tia, to show what beauty can be found if you just look at items from a different perspective. I'm excited to see all of the wonderful things she has already created. Knowing that she is doing good things with these items has helped me let go of things much easier, and for that--I'm eternally grateful.
Tia, I heart you so very much! Thank you for being such a beautiful part of my journey.
Oh lady, I love you more than words! Thank you for sharing your things with me and helping me to create. You feed into the best therapy I've found to date and help me feel like I can still *do* something.
ReplyDeleteYou give me far more than you'll ever know.
I'm glad I was helpful to somebody! Also, I totally need to remember to send you this next (smaller) package. It mocks me from the dining chair it lives in for now.
DeleteI love that you're cleansing and repurposing at the same time. It feels good doesn't it?!
ReplyDeleteIt makes it easier to let go when I know it isn't going to a landfill or anything.
